Description
This week-long camp applies the scientific method to principles of crime scene investigations with tons of hands-on labs. Learn about fingerprinting, forensic photography, blood typing, DNA analysis, and more. Campers will discover the importance of proper collection, preservation, analysis of physical evidence, and the steps of crime scene reconstruction. At the end of the week, campers will use their newly mastered skills to unravel clues of a “mock” Crime Scene.
What to Bring
- A notebook
- A lunch plan is available for purchase, or lunch can be brought to camp in a cooler
- Full water bottle with camper's name on it
- All other equipment will be provided

Sarah Bechtol
Sarah Bechtol has been a science teacher at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School for fourteen years. She graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor's in secondary biology and environmental education and earned a master's in chemical and life science from the University of Maryland. She lives in Olney with her husband and daughter.
