Camp Director:
Dane Smith, Boys Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach

Dane Smith has begun his 2nd season as Good Counsel’s Varsity Boys Lacrosse Head Coach. The Falcons have made great strides in one year under Coach Smith, and the program has quickly produced talented players who will play college lacrosse at the highest level (Cornell, Rutgers, Drexel).

Through his playing and coaching experience, Coach Smith has a vast knowledge and passion for the game of lacrosse. He was a two-time captain for Division I Robert Morris University and later rejoined the program as an assistant coach for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Wrapping up his 8-year head coaching career at St. Andrew’s High School in the Spring of 2022, Coach Smith joined Good Counsel with an outstanding .700 career-winning percentage and 3 conference titles as a coach.

Coach Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Robert Morris University in 2011. Three years later, he added a master’s in instructional leadership. He lives in Olney with his wife, Andrea, and their three kids.
