Description

Back by popular demand, our Robotics camps are action-packed with fun. Budding scientists will utilize critical thinking, creativity, and imagination to explore the world of robots.    

This camp is for beginners ages 8-10. No prior experience necessary. 

Robotics and Programming activities include: 

  • LEGO Mindstorms Coding and Robotics
  • Robotics Design and Construction using LEGO Technic Building Sets
  • Competition Battle Bots
  • Introduction to Remote Control Systems Programming

What to Bring

  • A lunch plan is available for purchase, or lunch can be brought to camp in a cooler
  • Full water bottle with camper's name on it
  • All other equipment will be provided

John Carbonell '88

John Carbonell '88 is an electrical and software engineer, who has been leading after-school youth activities for the last 12 years. He has taught youth robotics classes and camps for various organizations, including leading the Good Counsel Robotics Summer Camp Program since 2013. His youth robotics competition teams have competed in the Maryland State Robotics Championships for the last 9 years. He lives in Damascus with his wife and two children.
