Marriage is the most significant adult relationship most of us will ever know, and it is designed for our good. In fact, Matthew 19:5-6 states it this way; “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and unite with his wife, and the two will become one.”
But most marriages will be confronted by roadblocks that hinder the joy and oneness that we long for. The good news is that there are skills that we can learn that will greatly increase our connection and satisfaction in marriage. These skills include learning:
- how to communicate and resolve conflict.
- what to do when a relationship is threatened by addiction.
- to use your strengths and focus on solutions rather than problems.
- how powerful forgiveness is for restoration, and in setting the forgiver free.
We really want to experience life-giving marriages, full of love and respect, playfulness and connection, sexual intimacy and partnership. If you have run into a roadblock, call and schedule a time to come in and together we can come up with a game-plan to overcome the roadblocks.
