The String Ensemble is for students interested in playing violin, viola, cello or string bass. The ensemble performs music in a variety of styles, from classical to popular, and also performs at liturgies and at regularly scheduled concerts during the school year. Members of the String Ensemble have the option to perform as part of the pit orchestra for the school musicals.

The Drumline is the heartbeat of The Pride of GC. They provide cadences and stand beats at all Marching Band performances. The Drumline is composed of up to sixteen musicians on snare, bass, and tenor drums, as well as on cymbals; membership is determined by audition.

The Jazz Orchestra performs music primarily from the big band repertoire, spanning the great standards to contemporary compositions. Styles range from swing and bebop to Latin and rock. The ensemble rehearses from 3:15pm to 4:30pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Students must enroll for credit and will receive a grade for the class. The Jazz Orchestra performs at Good Counsel four times each year and also seeks opportunities to perform outside of the school.
